The first image is titled 'The Neighbors' as it is of the house next door to me in Holland, where I went this past weekend. The second image is titled 'Open to the Woods.' The third image is called 'Lantern Light,' and the fourth image is called 'Entrance to the Trees.' The first and third are taken in and around my house, and the lantern one is from a candle lantern in my living room. You can see the lake and the patio from the lantern reflection. The second and fourth images are taken on a bike ride I took near the woods. The fifth photo is called 'Patio View' and is of the patio at the back of the house that is party central during the summer when everyone is there. You can see the lake and the deck to the right of the image.
The first image is called 'Jetty Twice,' and there is a shadow in the water of the jetty. The second image is titled 'Wave Approach' and is of an approaching wave. The third image is called 'Gateway to Holland.' This image is of the long driveway that leads up to our house. The first two images were taken on the beach, and with the jetty that is helping to keep the sand and erosion in place. The water was really cold, and I would have gone swimming if I hadn't forgotten my suit. Next time! The fourth image I took while biking, and the fifth is of my neighbors tricycle. The fourth image is called 'Biked,' and the fifth is called 'Three Wheels.'
The first image is edited with a fake shadow that wasn't there in the original image. This image is called 'Wishing For Flight' as the bird is a statue and can't fly, however it is leaning towards the sky in hopes of flight at some point. The second image is edited with a fake reflection, and it is called 'Double Jeopardy.' When you are in a trial, you can;t be tried for the same crime twice, and this phrase is called double jeopardy. This image is taken at the law quad at the University of Michigan, and hence the reflection makes you see double of the image, the title is ironic and fits the image.
